Ambrosia Maple Credenza at Finch
This exceptional handcrafted credenza was designed and created by artist Daniel Oates in his Sharon CT studio using the unique grain patterns of ambrosia maple with live-edge features. The amazing character of the grain is caused by a beetle that bores into the living wood carrying a beautifully discoloring fungus - (though thankfully not affecting structural wood integrity).
Unit is 54" long, 30" high and 21" deep.
Daniel is a leading American cabinet maker who previously gained world-renown recognition for his sculpture, some of which can be found in museum collections such as the Whitney in New York.
The image also includes one of a pair of 1950s George Nelson chairs, lamp by Dana Brandwein, vintage crayfish kinetic sculpture by Woodstock artists James Turnbull (1909-1976) and large-format acrylic art by Jim Oliveira.
