Spectacular for Spring at Bavier Brook

Butterflybrooch

This is a stunning and rare Victorian diamond, pearl and turquoise butterfly brooch in silver-topped 14k gold. It's encrusted predominantly with Rose Cut diamonds, but there are also several Old Mine cuts. The brooch dates to around 1860-1870 and is just astonishingly beautiful in person, there are very few left out there now and we are so happy to be able to offer something so special!

One of the more interesting facts about old diamond cuts--particularly Rose Cut diamonds--is that they were cut to give maximum sparkle in low lighting, such as candlelight or gas lighting. Though this brooch will sparkle in any lighting, it goes to town in low light and is so dazzling and glittery. A truly opulent piece!

The piece measures 1 7/8" x 1 1/4" and is stamped 14k on the pin clasp. $8000.00 www.bavierbrook.com
