From Morocco to Italy

These two items recently arrived at Ad Lib Antiques:


(1) An ebonized, Moroccan-style low Table with drawers, hard-stone-mounted and covered in silver metal. Dimensions: 29" x 48" x 20 3/4" tall. Price: $3,200.



(2) A carved Italian sideboard with 3 doors and 3 drawers. Dimensions:  75" long x 19.5" deep x 42" tall. Price: $1,200.

Stair Galleries will be offering two exciting collections of 20th century photography from two corporate collections in our upcoming April 30th-May 1st auction. Several highlights from these collections include pieces by Michael Kenna, Paul Strand, Mitch Epstein, Aaron Siskind and local
photographer, Lynn Davis. Also being offered is fine art and a large collection of modern prints from 20th century masters; art to include works by David Hockney, Richard Hamilton, Alexander Calder, Sam Francis, Robert Motherwell, and Ellsworth Kelly (shown above).

Pair of ‘Barcelona’ Chairs

Created by architect Ludwig Mies van der Rohe for the German Pavilion at the 1929 Barcelona International Exhibition, the chromed-steel and leather ‘Barcelona’ chair quickly became an icon of 20th-century design. Knoll International of New York City adopted the design in the 1950’s and continues to manufacture this classic chair with its elegant profile and x-shaped base derived from the ancient Roman curule. Stair Galleries’ February 25, 2011 Modernism Sale will include a pair of labeled Knoll Barcelona chairs with buttoned and pleated brown leather cushions. Estimate: $800–$1,200. Gilded Sunburst Mirror

Industrial Console

New Arrival of Blass Lamps


This bespoke original one-of-a-kind sculptured pair of lamps by Lou Blass are in copper on black “Convolution” bases, and are also available in bronze.
