Flag Day Parade: The brainchild of antiques dealers Bip & Bob of Pavilion Antiques (since closed), and managed by The Hudson Elks Club, the City has made Flag Day its main patriotic parade since the mid-1990s. Featuring a wide array of ﬂoats, marching bands, ﬁre companies and dignitaries from around the region, the Flag Day parade takes place every year in mid-June. Hudson Pride Weekend: What began as a way to raise awareness and visibility of the gay & lesbian community in Columbia County, has now become one of Hudson’s most engaging and spirited annual events. Hudson Music Festival: Beginning in 2011, and now a greatly anticipated annual August event, this three day-weekend celebration of music attracts hundreds of musicians from the Northeast and beyond, representing all genres. With free performances throughout the day and evening in nightclubs, restaurants & bars, galleries, tents up and down Warren Street and at the Riverfront, visitors will discover that Hudson is the next Music Mecca. ArtsWalk: Created by pioneering Hudson gallerist Carrie Haddad, the Columbia County Council on the Arts now organizes the annual ArtsWalk in Hudson. Winter Walk: Occurring annually in early December (typically on the ﬁrst Saturday), Hudson shopkeepers go all-out with special window decorations, tableaux vivants, Chamber music and carolers, mulled cider and cookies, and other seasonal cheer.
